Year of St. Joseph,
Patron of the Universal Church
Dec. 8, 2020 - Dec 8, 2021
Pope Francis begins his Apostolic Letter Patris Corde inaugurating the year of St Joseph with the following words: "WITH A FATHER'S HEART: that is how Joseph loves Jesus,". The Holy Father closes the Letter with the following words and prayer: We need only ask St. Joseph for the grace of graces: our conversion. Let us now make our prayer to him:
On December 12, 2019, the Diocese of Metuchen was consecrated to Jesus under the patronage of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The intention for this consecration was to ask for the graces needed for a New Evangelization. By this consecration, Bishop James F. Checchio's prayer is that it will stir up an increased holiness of life, a renewed commitment to living the Gospel message to the full, and the enthusiastic willingness to share that message with others among the faithful.
